FRED KREIDER - BOARD MEMBER

Having grown up on the Mississippi River in Rock Island, IL, Fred briefly strayed from the river to attend Upper Iowa University in NE Iowa. After college he found himself back near the river in the Twin Cities area. Although he is not a frequent recreational user of Pool 2, he is an avid cyclist. He was drawn to the mission and vision of the Friends of Pool 2 organization and shares many of our values.

He finds ecosystems fascinating and feels that the activities and educational programs of FOP2 are designed to help support a healthy river ecosystem while encouraging all of us to use this resource more responsibly.

Fred is also a fan of E-boat technology. He closely follows innovations in all-electric boats within the marine community and hopes to own one someday. While he waits for the perfect E-boat, he is investigating peer-to-peer boat sharing and rental opportunities in Pool 2.
In addition to his ecological and boating interests, Fred’s past career experience in the areas of accounting and information technology are a bonus for the FOP2 Board of Directors.
